#09 – Frozen River Banan
Available July 1 – August 4, 2026
A highly interactive beverage featuring a handcrafted dark chocolate shell coated along the inner walls of the cup. The drink consists of a rich and creamy banana milk base, sweetened with a touch of traditional Vietnamese condensed milk for a signature Broyé twist. It is topped with a smooth cream cheese foam and garnished with crispy dried banana chips and strawberry.
You may add on a pairing of our signature Mini Mochi Croissant featuring a flaky, buttery exterior and a chewy mochi center.
🇨🇦Why Canadian? To quote Xavier Kataquapit, a Cree writer, “There is great anxiety and anticipation when Maachestan (river ice breakup in Spring) begins, but an equal amount of relief and almost celebration when this annual event has passed. Neepin (summer) can now begin.” This drink symbolizes the transition from winter to summer in Canada. The crackling chocolate shell represents the breaking of river ice in early July, revealing the sweet banana milk beneath—a metaphor for the energy and freshness of the Canadian summer. The drink weaves together French pastry techniques, Japanese influence, and Vietnamese coffee culture to tell our multicultural story in British Columbia.🍁
#10 – BC Lake Crackle
Available July 1 – August 4, 2026
A unique fusion of Japanese Matcha (or Hojicha) and fresh British Columbia strawberries. The highlight is a crackable white chocolate top infused with a hint of Vancouver sea salt that seals the cup. When guests tap the “ice” layer with a spoon, the earthy aroma of roasted tea and berries blends with the subtle bitterness of cacao. It is finished with a topping of buttery, toasted house-made croutons from our bakery.
You may add the optional pairing: a Canada Macaron – artfully designed in red and white, this macaron serves as a sweet tribute to the national flag while complementing the earthy notes of the tea base.
🇨🇦 Why Canadian? British Columbia, as a Pacific Rim province, has a long history of interaction with Japan. This drink brings the flavours of Japan (matcha) and BC (local strawberries) together in one of the sweetest of unions. 🍁
