🇨🇦 Why Canadian? Despite not being red and white, blueberries are the most Canadian fruit of all. Canada is the world’s second-largest blueberry producer and exporter, and the number one grower of low bush (wild) blueberries globally — making up over 50% of our total fruit export. And that’s not all, unlike most agricultural crops grown here, blueberries are native to Canadian soil. (Indigenous peoples have been eating them for centuries.) Pairing blueberries with Matcha is appropriate too, as the Japanese are Canada’s top customers for the healthy fruit. In fact, over 130 new blueberry-infused products are launched every year in Japan. 🍁
